In your skiing holiday near the ski area you live in our apartments and holidayhomes at Cottage Buchauer and Apartment Pension Georg in Thiersee close to 5 different ski areas. Centrally located in the Holiday Region Kufstein, just 5min to the family ski resort Thiersee and 30min by car to the SkiWelt Wilder Kaiser Brixental in Tyrol and the Ski Paradise Sudelfeld in Bavaria. The free ski bus stops right at the bus stop in front of our apartments, depending on the ski area.

The largest connected ski area in Austria is situated on the outskirts of Kufstein Tyrol. The ski resort is an experience in skiing holidays for all advanced and professionals. More than 90 ski lifts with 280 km of ski slopes. Mild and moderate ski pistes, 160km of the pistes can be snowed artificially. There are many lodges and restaurants to rest if you are tired after skiing. Modern and comfortable with snow guarantee – there are cable cars, chairlifts and gondolas. Direct at the valley station of the cable car in Soell and Scheffau you will find modern ski-rental and ski depots.

Familiy skiing areas in Thiersee, Hinterthiersee and Durchholzen

There are two small family-friendly ski areas here in Thiersee Valley. The advantage of the family ski resort is probably, that it is absolute family friendly – the perfect place for children to learn to ski in a small family ski resort with 2 lifts. In 5 minutes by free shuttle bus from your apartment you can reach the Schattberglift in Thiersee and the Tirolina ski area in Hinterthiersee. There are 2km up to 4km of skipistes for families or less experienced skiers. The free ski bus runs several times a day and take you to the ski resorts in Thiersee Valley.  In about 20min by car you reach the ski area Zahmer Kaiser Durchholzen in the near environment. The ski area offers 9 lifts, a modern chairlift and about 10 slopes and 2 toboggan runs.

Skiing Paradise Sudelfeld

You reach the Ski Paradise Sudelfeld in Bavaria (DE) by car in about 25 to 30 min. It´s a mix of a family ski area and a medium-sized ski resort with about 32km of slopes, suitable for every difficulty level. Equipped with 16 lifts,  nice cosy huts, a snow fun park and the SNUKI-Childrens-Area. The Ski Paradise Sudelfeld is an affordable alternative for all skiers.
